Frequently Asked Questions
How Does Counselling Work?

Firstly - I'm here to help! it may feel awkward and a bit scary but that's normal and ok. Through a process of listening and identifying areas which need attention, counselling increases self-awareness as well as working through collaborative strategies to reach agreed outcomes.
Can I Still Access Your Services if I Don't Live Nearby?

Absolutely! Through the benefits of technology distance is not an obstacle in receiving quality and confidential support. Evidence shows that online sessions either via phone or video are just as beneficial as in-person, whilst offering the convenience and accessibility in the comfort of your own home environment.
Do I Need a Referral?

No, counselling is not part of the GP referral health care plan and appointments can be made directly. Rebates are not available, however my fees are less than or similar to your out-of-pocket expenses of psychologists.
How do I Make an Appointment?

The best and most direct way of booking an appointment is via email. I can be contacted at sandybeak@gmail.com for any and all questions to do with my therapeutic practice.

I can also be reached by phone on 0404 937 250.
